An outdoor focused game brand from Australia, designing tabletop games for camping, beach and pool side scenarios. They needed fully water proof game cards resistant to moisture, sweat and sand. Project includes custom plastic cards plus tin metal storage boxes for outdoor carrying.
Core Challenges
1.Paper based cards are unsuitable for humid, wet outdoor conditions; cards must resist water, sweat and minor abrasion.
2.PVC material brings special printing difficulty: ink must not peel or scratch off with frequent rubbing.
3.Cards need comfortable shuffle feel even with plastic material, together with matching tin box packaging.
Our Solution
1.Select high grade waterproof PET- PVC composite material instead of ordinary paper cards. Use special surface printing + protective top coating to improve ink adhesion and anti -scratch performance.
2.Fine tune die cut parameters for plastic sheets, ensure smooth burr free card edges on rigid plastic material.
3.Source matching custom -printed metal tin boxes, finish full assembly: insert game cards, rule sheets into tins, complete sealing.
Project Outcome
Cards survive water- immersion and friction durability tests. The waterproof game sets gained positive reviews from outdoor -activity communities. The client expanded their product line with repeated follow -up orders for new game expansions.
